Award-winning Thai crispy chilli oil. Big Thai flavours, the shortcut way.

What is Yum Phrik?
Yum Phrik is a playful take on nam phrik, the classic Thai chilli sauce. This award-winning Thai chilli oil brings the bright, zesty flavours of Thai cooking into a jar. It is made with lemongrass, makrut lime leaves, ginger and toasted glutinous rice, a crispy condiment that tastes like it came from a Thai kitchen.

Great Taste Awards 2024: 1 star
"The oil is generously laced with chilli, lemongrass and lime. The judges enjoyed the zesty flavour of the lemongrass and lime which sing through the chilli. The flavours come in a sequence, ending in the heat of the chilli. When stirred well, it gives a flavour punch we enjoyed. The judges could think of many uses for this interesting product." What makes it different
- Authentic base: lemongrass, makrut lime and ginger, the trio at the heart of Thai cooking.
- Toasted rice: glutinous rice, toasted like in laab, for crunch and depth.
- Fresh and zesty: bright lime and lemongrass, with the heat in a supporting role.
- Award winning: Best Crispy Chilli Oil at the European Hot Sauce Awards 2024 and a Great Taste star.
- A real shortcut: big Thai flavour without hours of cooking.
The story behind Yum Phrik
Yum Phrik was born from wanting Thai food on the table without the time. Nicole's Thai stepmum taught her the flavours of dishes like laab and tom kha, but after having a daughter, cooking from scratch meant adding chilli to a separate portion. No shortcut there.
So Nicole created this: a Thai chilli oil built on the same base as laab and tom kha (lemongrass, lime, ginger), with toasted glutinous rice for texture and depth. Now big Thai flavours come in one jar, ready to share with everyone at the table.

Why it works
Learned from a Thai home kitchen
Nicole learned laab and tom kha from her Thai stepmum, and that knowledge goes into every jar.
The shortcut that works
No long cooking and no separate portions. Yum Phrik brings big Thai flavour fast, so everyone at the table can share the same dish.
Texture and brightness
The toasted rice gives a nutty crunch. Lemongrass and lime bring the brightness. The heat is there in a supporting role.
Yum Phrik FAQs
How spicy is it?
Moderate heat. The chilli gives warmth, while lemongrass and lime take centre stage. Suitable for most palates.
How long does it last?
Keep it in a cool, dark place, or in the fridge for the longest shelf life. We find a jar rarely lasts more than a month before it is finished.
Can I cook with it?
