The best marinade recipe

Sticky spicy sweet marinade, perfect for BBQ, grilling, or oven-baked proteins. We use it for our tofu kebab, but we've heard it's equally good on chicken or beef. 

Recipe

  • 1 heaped teaspoon Agave Chilli Crisp
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (We use mildly smoked by The Good Spice)
  • 1 block of firm tofu
  • Paper towl

Method

  • Pre-heat oven to 200C. 
  • Wrap the tofu in paper towels to soak excess moisture
  • Use a vegetable peeler, peel the tofu into thin strips
  • Mix all the marinade ingredients
  • Use your hands to gently toss it through the tofu to ensure all is covered
  • Bake at 200C for 20 minutes tossing halfway through or until it's cooked through and some biits are getting crispy edges.
