Savoury Porridge

Savoury Porridge

I'm not much of a porridge person, it always seems gluggy and boring to me. But a few times a year when it's really cold this is just perfect! 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Oats
  • 1/2 cup (125mL) Milk (oat milk is the obvious choice!)
  • 1/2 cup (125mL)  water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp peanut butter or tahini
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Crunchy Spice
  • 1/4 spring onion, finely sliced

Method

Add oats, milk, water, cinnamon and salt to a saucepan. Bring to heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes until desired texture. 

Add to a bowl and top with remaining ingredients. Taste and adjust to your preference.
